Today we are going to look at the story of Jacob’s wrestling match with God. It’s an amazing story because God lets Jacob win! But with his victory, Jacob walked away a changed man. Something in his heart turned a corner after that match, and though he walked away a victor, he walked away with a scar that would mark him the rest of his life. That’s often how it goes for us: necessary growth comes at a cost, and sometimes the cost looks more like a scar than a trophy.
