Our study began a few weeks ago with Jesus predicting a day when the Jerusalem temple Herod spent 60 years constructing would be destroyed, with “not one stone left upon another, but all will be thrown down.” The disciples asked him in v. 3, “When will these things happen and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” As we come to verses 15-22, Jesus describes the events that will accompany the destruction of the temple.
